AIS of Zhejiang Gongshang Unviersity Hosts Chinese Corner
AIS (Association of International Students) hosted the Chinese Corner in cooperation with China Unicom for the international students on 21st of May. It was dedicated to the international students and everything there was designed to both educate and entertain them. The event started off with a huge turn up since everyone who signed up for the event showed up. The students were then divided into ten groups so they had to work in teams in all the game participation.
Emma gave a song in Chinese after the opening remarks, then they introduced a game where they presented some characters on the board and teams had to say out what it meant in English thus they had to present their knowledge of the Chinese characters. One group was more outstanding as it kept on getting most words and quizzes right and they got some gifts after that section.
Just after a short break they introduced Tai Chi which is part of the traditional culture. It was led by a Chinese Tai Chi follower who was invited and also people who attended came and joined him. He taught them a few moves some managed to follow very well while others just couldn’t understand anything.
The event was concluded with gift giving as the winning teams were awarded for their great work. The host of the event also announced that China Unicom had great deals for their phone service, so if you need great deal China Unicom is a great try.
